The Blue Ridge Mountain Chapter of the Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution is located in Blairsville, GA and seeks to perpetuate the purpose of the SAR with its support of patriot grave marking, veteran’s events, Scouting, educational, historical, and patriotic interests in the communities we serve. It is proud of its dynamic Community Support Program which is comprised of its Speakers Bureau, its “Traveling Trunk” presentations for schools and community organizations, and as such is recognized as one of the premier chapters in the Georgia Society, as well as in the Nation. The Blue Ridge Mountain Chapter members reside in the northern Georgia counties of Fannin, Union and Towns, as well as the southwestern North Carolina counties of Cherokee and Clay.
The Blue Ridge Mountain Chapter meets on the second Tuesday of the months of January, March, May, September, November and December for a Christmas party at 6pm for dinner and interesting speakers at the Brothers Restaurant at Willow Branch in Young Harris, GA. The Brothers Restaurant address is 6223 Highway 76 West, Young Harris, GA 30582. There is plenty of parking available.
