The Marshes of Glynn Chapter SAR was chartered on February 15, 1986, in Brunswick, Georgia.  One of the original eight counties in Georgia, Glynn County was named for John Glynn (1722 – 1779), a member of Parliament who was sympathetic to the cause of American liberty. Our chapter serves the Southeast Coastal area.  Most of our members live in Glynn and Camden counties, but members also reside in the neighboring counties of Brantley, Charlton, Liberty, McIntosh and Ware, as well as other locations outside of Georgia.

Our chapter meets at 7:00pm on the second Thursday of each month from September through May at the St. Simons Airport Fire Station Community Meeting Room, 1927 Demere Road, with one exception  on a day in December for a Christmas party.
