DESCRIPTION:The Pensacola Chapter\, Florida Society Sons of the American Revolution\nInvites your group to the 2023 Battle of Pensacola Commemoration and Galvez Day Celebration \nMonday\, May 8\, 2023 – (Color Guard Muster 9:30 AM Central – Event 10:30 AM Central Time) \nOn May 8\, the Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard will once again present the opening procession for the Galvez Day Celebration sponsored by the Pensacola Heritage Foundation. \nThe Color Guard will muster at 09:30 AM (Central) at Fort George (501 N. Palafox Street) and march down Palafox Street to one of the largest monuments in the United States to General Bernardo de Galvez as the opening ceremony of Pensacola’s Galvez Day celebration. \nAll participating Color Guard Units will receive a BATTLE OF PENSACOLA FLAG STREAMER. \nAdditional information (including information on blocks of hotel rooms) can be found at\nwww.pensacolasar.org/index.php/events/battle-of-pensacola-commemoration \nPlease use the form below to register your participation in the events. DESCRIPTION:National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution South Carolina Society of the Sons of the American Revolution And The General Francis Marion Chapter cordially invite you to participate in the 243rd Commemoration And Grave Marking of Patriots of Buford’s Massacre Battle of the Waxhaws Saturday\, May 27\, 2023 \nBuford’s Massacre Site\, Buford’s Crossroad\, South Carolina \n  \nSAR\, DAR\, CAR\, and SR societies and chapters are invited to participate in a formal wreath laying ceremony at the Park’s US Monument beginning at 10:30 a.m. \nParticipants desiring to present wreaths must deliver them to the Park no later than 10:00 a.m.\, May 27th\, to label and arrange them. \n  \nAll compatriots are encouraged to wear period dress (Continental or Militia). \nWreaths may be dedicated to a unit or group of patriots or an individual patriot. \n  \nTo ensure all participants are recognized in the celebration program\, it is requested you complete and mail your intent for my receipt not later than May 19th to: \nGreg Ohanesian\, Past President\, S.C.S.S.A.R.\, Post Office Box 1373\, Bennettsville\, S.C. 29512
