DESCRIPTION:2023 BATTLE OF GUILFORD COURTHOUSE COMMEMORATION\nMARCH 15\, 2023\n11:00 AM\, WEDNESDAY MARCH 15\, 2023\nGUILFORD COURTHOUSE NATIONAL MILITARY PARK\n2332 NEW GARDEN ROAD\nGREENSBORO\, NC 27410\nOur most sincere greetings to all SAR\, DAR\, CAR & other Patriotic and Historic Societies. \nThe Nathanael Greene Chapter of the North Carolina Society\, Sons of the American Revolution (NCSSAR)\, cordially invites you to attend the 241st Anniversary Observance of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. \nWreaths will be transported by the National Park Staff and volunteers to the Nathanael Greene Monument and positioned in the front of the monument. The annual parade led by the National Color Guard Commander and the Combined SAR Color Guard will commence at 11:00 am. Please be punctual\, in line\, and ready to begin the march by 10:45 am. We would ask that the Presenters advance to the front and center of the Nathanael Greene Monument and facing it\, render their respects. \nThose desiring to present a wreath or participate in the volunteer jobs for the program should meet at the Visitors Center at 10:00 am for their assignments. Advanced registration is requested. For a schedule of other events occurring\, please consult the 2023 Anniversary Schedule on the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park website: www.nps.gov/guco \nFor out of town guests\, there is a block of 10 rooms at the Wyndham Garden Hotel at 415 S. Swing Road\, Greensboro (336.299.7650). Ask for the SAR rate of $119 + tax. There will also be a fellowship luncheon after the Commemoration at Kickback Jack’s just up the road on New Garden Road. \nPlease register your wreath by Friday March 10th 2023.
