DESCRIPTION:246th ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF BRIER CREEK \nSaturday\, March 8\, 2025\, at 11:00 a.m. \nBrier Creek Battlefield and Memorial Site \nThis will be a National Society SAR South Atlantic District event \nGoogle maps to Brier Creek Battlefield or Set GPS to Tuckahoe Wildlife Management Area then down Brannen’s Bridge Road for ½ mile.  Screven County\, Georgia \nSAR\, DAR\, C.A.R.\, other patriotic and Lineage societies\, chapters\, and the general public are invited to the 246th Anniversary of the Battle of Brier Creek. From this point\, drive north on U.S. HWY 301 for 5.0 miles and turn right on GA HWY 24 East. Drive 5.1 miles to Brannans Bridge Road (white building on left) and turn Left. Drive 4.7 miles to Brannans Bridge and across bridge\, 100 yards to GATE on right. There will be a sign at the GATE that says Ceremony.\n FROM DOWNTOWN SYLVANIA: From the downtown circle\, take East Ogeechee Street/Brannans Bridge Road and drive 5.9 miles to the stop sign. Continue driving straight for another 4.7 miles to Brannans Bridge and across bridge\,100 yards to BIG SIGN on right.\n FROM NEWINGTON: Take GA HWY 24 West until you get to the Brannans Bridge Road (white building on the right\, approximately 17 miles) and then turn right. Drive for 4.7 miles to Brannans Bridge and across bridge\, 100 yards to BIG SIGN on right.\n FROM AUGUSTA: Drive to Waynesboro on U.S. HWY 25 South. Continue through Waynesboro and turn left onto GA HWY 24 East. Continue on HWY 24 until you reach U.S. HWY 301. Turn right (South) for less than a mile and then turn left onto GA HWY 24 East. Drive 5.1 miles to Brannans Bridge Road (white building on left) and turn Left. Drive 4.7 miles to Brannans Bridge and across bridge\, 100 yards to BIG SIGN on right. When you turn into the gate\, it’s straight back 1 mile to site
