Elberton\, Ga 30635. Note: Correct GPS is  N 34.22496 / W -82.83318 . If you use 1884 Coldwater Rd. in your maps you will be approx. 2/10 mile SE of the parking. You will need to park on the side of the road. There is limited parking on the owner’s property.  We do have to use the property owner’s driveway.\n \nDirections from Downtown Elberton: (Intersection of Highway 17  and Highway 77  go North 3.2 Miles turn right on HWY 368 (Lake RB Russell State Park Sign)(SAR sign). In 2.4 miles bear left on Double Branches Rd (SAR sign). In 2.9 miles turn left on Coldwater Rd (SAR sign).\nDirections from Hartwell (Benson St & East Howell St. turn right (south) at City Hall on Benson St./Hwy 77. Go 6.8 Miles turn left on Coldwater Rd. (SAR sign) go by the Dollar General. Drive 4.8 miles the grave marking parking is approx. 6/10 miles past  Coldwater United Methodist Church.

DESCRIPTION:UPDATE – Location will be inside at the Oconee Veterans Park Recreation Center\nOCONEE VETERANS PARK\, Watkinsville\, Ga. – The Oconee Veterans Memorial Foundation\, Inc. will host a Veterans Day program November 11 at the Oconee County\nVeterans Memorial located at Oconee Veterans Park. The program will begin at 11:00am. \nThis year’s program will include recognition of all Veterans by service in attendance\, special music\, and the traditional laying of wreaths will occur at the end of the program.\nOur keynote speaker will be COL (Ret.) Lawrence “Larry” Saul who has served over 34 years in the U.S. Army\, including global assignments and three tours with the British\nArmy\, retiring as the Senior U.S. Army Liaison Officer to the British Army. A Vietnam War veteran and recipient of the Distinguished Service Medal\, he was later inducted\ninto the U.S. Army Officers Candidate School Hall of Fame. In his retirement\, he worked internationally as a consultant\, educator\, and currently speaks as a military historian\,\nleading WWI and II European Battlefield tours and lecturing on military history. \nVeteran and Patriotic organizations are encouraged to set up display tents and tables to provide Veteran resources and support. Individuals owning refurbished military vehicles\nand equipment are also encouraged to set up displays beginning at 10:00am. The Foundation will announce an additional 4 names to the Phase III Wall of Honor. All\ndonations and proceeds from the Phase III Honor Our Patriots capital campaign offset construction and maintenance of the wall itself and the presentation of the 39 Killed in\nAction names from Oconee County. Wall of Honor nomination forms will be available at the ceremony and Phase III Sponsorship Opportunities will be offered for individual\,\ngroup\, or corporate donations. \nPlease help us promote this event as we continue to Honor our Fallen. \nThe Oconee Veterans Memorial Foundation\, Inc.
