The members of the Little River Chapter SAR, the Georgia Society SAR’s newest chapter, represent the counties of Warren, McDuffie, Lincoln, and Columbia. The Little River, a 72-mile long tributary of the Savannah River, flows along the borders of each of these counties. Kettle Creek, site of the Revolutionary War Battle in 1779, is a tributary to the Little River. The chapter meets on the third Thursday of each month, at 6:30pm.
Our application for charter was approved by the GA Society SAR Board of Managers on July 27, 2019 in Barnesville. Our charter/installation ceremony and banquet was held on October 5, 2019 at the Belle Meade Country Club in Thomson. Photos from our banquet can be seen by clicking here, and a video can be seen by clicking here.
