Patriot Grave Marker Dedication – James Pittman – Madison County, Georgia – Time to be determined

Brandy Pethel, Regent of the James Pittman Chapter, NSDAR has received the NSDAR Historian General approval letter dated 9 September 2025 for a Patriot Grave Marking for Patriot James Green Pittman (SAR P-271003). The Georgia Society SAR has no evidence that this Patriot’s grave has been marked before. As such, we accept the evidence found and approved by the NSDAR Historian General and approve this grave marking for the SAR to be performed.
Regent Brandy Pethel has requested that this joint DAR/SAR Patriot grave marking to be performed on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at the grave site located in Madison County, GA.
