National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution South Carolina Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and The General Francis Marion Chapter cordially invite you to participate in the 244th Commemoration of

Buford’s Massacre – also known as  Battle of the Waxhaws

Saturday, May 25, 2024 – 10:30 AM

Buford’s Massacre Site, Buford’s Crossroad, South Carolina SAR, DAR, CAR, and SR societies and chapters are invited to participate in a formal wreath laying ceremony at the Park’s Monument beginning at 10:30 a.m. Participants desiring to present wreaths must deliver them to the Park no later than 10:00 a.m., May 25th, to label and arrange them.

All compatriots are encouraged to wear period dress (Continental or Militia). Wreaths may be dedicated to the slain at the site, a unit or group of patriots, or an individual patriot. To ensure all participants are recognized in the celebration program, it is requested you complete and mail your intent for my receipt not later than May 17 the to:
