March 1 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We will be celebrating the 245th memorial service for the Revolutionary War, Battle of Brier Creek, the first weekend in March. As a part of this memorial service we will be having the Annual Meeting and Dinner Banquet for the Brier Creek Revolutionary War Battlefield Association Inc. on Friday night the 1st of March.

We would very much hope you will join us for this event, we have an excellent speaker lined up and I am sure you will enjoy his program and the evening. Our speaker will be Mr. Larry Sanders and he will speak on the battle and did General Ashe deserve to bear most of the blame for the defeat at Brier Creek. Larry just completed a book on the battle and General Ashe and it will soon be in print.

Also Georgia Southern University Museum will have a display case at the annual meeting with a number of artifacts that have been recovered from the battlefield on display. This will be the first time these items will have been displayed. I am really excited about having the opportunity to see these artifacts, most of them were recovered during the 2014 archeological survey.
