The Thigpen Trail Chapter invites you to join us as we dedicate the historic magnolia tree on the grounds of the iconic Colquitt County Courthouse on June 13. This event will be part of the Moultrie-Colquitt County America 250 Celebration which will include the 250th Commemoration of the Battle of Sullivan’s Island under the command of Col. William Moultrie, for whom the city was named.
Location: Colquitt County Courthouse, 9 South Main Street, Moultrie, GA
Date and Time: Saturday, June 13, 2026 Opening Ceremony begins at 9:30; event concludes at 2:00
We would greatly appreciate participation of the Color Guard for the opening ceremony of the celebration and to portray soldiers in the Fort Sullivan encampment.
