Five Patriot Grave markings – Midway Church

The Athens Chapter, Wiregrass Chapter, Marshes of Glynn Chapter, Brier Creek Chapter, Robert Forsyth Chapter, and Captain John Collins Chapter of the Georgia  Society Sons of the American Revolution invite you to attend the dedication of grave markers commemorating the service of Patriot soldiers Thomas Bacon, Joseph Quarterman, John Osgood, Josiah Osgood and William Way in conjunction with the St. John’s Parish Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Colonists at the Midway Cemetery, US Highway 17 South, Midway, Georgia 31320 on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.

 Please consider joining us that morning for the yearly church service at the Midway Church at 11:30 A.M. followed by dinner on the grounds.  The church is located across from the cemetery.  The Midway Museum, located next to the church, will be open for tours on Sunday as well as their family history center, which contains information on families who settled in the area nearby Richmond Hill (19 miles north) and Hinesville (11 miles west) have many chain hotels and restaurants.

 This will be the second of several annual markings that will eventually mark the 19 Patriot Graves that can be located with their individual markers and potentially another 34+ unmarked patriot graves in this cemetery.
