National (PA) – First Continental Congress SAR National 250th Event

The SAR National 250th Commemoration of the First Continental Congress in Philadelphia, PA, hosted by the Pennsylvania SAR and the Philadelphia Continental Chapter on Saturday, 12 October 2024

10am Harriton House Tour, Charles Thomson Home – 500 Harriton Road, Bryn Mawr, PA

1-2pm Charles Thomson Grave Marking – Secretary of the Continental Congress – Laurel Hill East Cemetery, Philadelphia

4-5pm Carpenters’ Hall, 250th Ceremony – 320 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia

5-6pm Carpenters’ Hall Private Tour

6-8pm SAR Dinner, Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen – 126 Chestnut St, Philadelphia

Hosted by the Pennsylvania SAR and the Philadelphia Continental Chapter

Event Registration: You may register for the 250^th events at the following link: https://forms.gle/5Het77H2u7okx4ys7    The registration deadline is September 30^th.

The first event will take place at 1:00 pm at Laurel Hill East Cemetery in Philadelphia, where we will conduct a Patriot grave marking for Charles Thomson, Secretary of the Continental Congress.

The SAR 250th Commemoration of the First Continental Congress will take place at 4:00 pm at Carpenters’ Hall, the location where the First Continental Congress met from September 5 to October 26, 1774, and the Continental Association was adopted October 20th

The 250th Commemoration will be followed by a private SAR tour of Carpenters’ Hall from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The day will conclude with an SAR Dinner at Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen beginning at 6:00 pm.
