A National SAR event in TN
The Gathering at Sycamore Shoals celebrates the 243rd Anniversary of the Overmountain Men mustering for their march across the mountains to meet and defeat the large Tory army led by Maj. Patrick Ferguson at the Battle of Kings Mountain. The celebration takes place at the Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton, TN on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM.
This is a National SAR Color Guard Event with wreath presentations and musket volleys.
