  He enlisted in August of 1781 in Captain Alexander Breward's Company commander by Colonel Archibald Lytle in the North Carolina Militia. In 1805, he moved to Jackson and then Gwinnett County, Georgia. He received a pension for his services. This suggested correction was submitted by Lynne James - This gravestone is N O T the gravestone for this William Morris. This William was born in 1755 and died in 1830. The William who died in 1824 is buried in Gwinnett County, not DeKalb County.
