- Col. James Little came from South Carolina, joined the GA Militia then under Col. John Dooly, fought at Vann's Creek. Fought at Kettle Creek where he was severely wounded and laid out of service, then served under Col. Elijah Clarke. After the refugees were forced out of Georgia he continued fighting for Col. Elijah Clarke and it was stated in his son's biography of his father written in 1859 and narrated by his son the honorable James H. Little, Esquire who had served in civilian life as a probate judge - stated his father served in 22 skirmishes and battles during the Am Rev primarily in the South.
