      • Carl was born in Harmony, Pennsylvania to Howard and Esther Bhame. He had three brothers and twin sisters. In his home town area he attended elementary and high school where he was active in football, baseball and choral music. Then Carl was graduated from the University of Cincinnati in chemical engineering. After graduation he married Linda Cunningham. They attended the same high school and sat beside each other through four years of classes. Next he was graduated from the Graduate School of Administration, Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh with a Masters degree. Carl?s business career included work at Fort Monroe, Virginia where he helped in establishing computers for the army and many years as a consultant in the computer field with extensive traveling here and abroad. He retired in 2007.
      • His family consists of his wife Linda, son William and his wife Natalie, daughter Elizabeth and her husband Troy Spencer, and six grandchildren.
      • Carl was a member of Mt Vernon Presbyterian Church, Triangle Fraternity, and several professional organizations. He wrote a text book for graduate school students in industrial administration. His lifelong hobbies included tennis, jogging and singing classical music.
      • Descended from Patriot Abraham Hiestand, he was a member of Piedmont SAR Chapter where he served as Chapter President and Registrar.
      • His grave was marked by the Piedmont Chapter GA SAR on 21 May 2017.
