- John Marshall was the second born son of Patriot Rev. Daniel Marshall and Martha Stearns. He served in the Georgia Militia during the Revolutionary War. He was a Planter in Columbia County, GA. His wife, Dorothy Boomer, died young. John and Dorthy had four daughters. He became a large landowner in Columbia County.
