- Dr. Hurley D. Jones, was a physican in Brunswick, Georgia, and long-time member of the Marshes of Glynn SAR Chapter. Dr. Jones' Patriot ancestor, John Everett (1743- 1820) enlisted in 1780 in the North Carolina Militia as a private under Captain Abraham De Jarnett and was discharged six months later at Salisbury, North Carolina. He later settled near Old Deloach's Church in Southern Bulloch County where he applied for a pension for his Revolutionary War military service.
