Notes |
- During the New Haven Alarm, under Major-General Oliver Wolcott, James Cone was a member of the Detachments from Militia Horse, 1779. The group was detached from the 2nd Regt of Light Horse in CT. He served as private under Captain James Greene's Company from East Haddam. This info was filed October 5, 1779 in Lebanon, most likely at the War Office by Elijah Hyde, Major.
