harles and wife, Evelyn, raised three children, who have given them six grandchildren.
- Charles Haddock Hendry was born in Macon, GA on October 26, 1936. After spending his younger years in Macon and Columbus GA, he earned his undergraduate degree at Auburn University and a medical degree at the University of Alabama Medical School. The latter degree led to a specialty in Psychiatry.
He served two years in the Public Health Service as psychiatrist for the Prison Bureau, stationed in Marion, Illinois.
Starting in 1968, Charles practiced psychiatry in the Atlanta area. His focus was on Mental Health Centers and his private practice.
- He was an avid runner for 46 years.
In his semi-retirement years, Charles consulted with Mental Health Centers but also pursued interests in photography and family genealogy. His membership in Sons of the American Revolution gave him much pleasure.
