Horne enlisted 1777 at Lancaster, PA and served 14 months in Count Pulaski's Legion. He fought at the battles of Monmouth and Long Island. He enlisted on 24 Dec 1778 for the duration of the war.
He applied for a pension on 28 Aug 1832.
He was ordained minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church by Bishop Asbury at Baltimore, MD.
