  Jacob CLEVELAND lived in Culpeper Co. to 1780, Abbeville Dist SC to 1782, afterward on the old Cleveland homestead, on Vaus or Vans Creek, Elbert Co. (Elberton) ; farmer. He is buried in old family cemetery on the farm.
