  In the 1780's. the Sparks family was located in Pittsylvania County, VA. In 1785, he bought land in NC. By 1788 he had sold that land and moved to Franklin County, GA. He then moved to Morgan County, GA. In the 1827 GA Land Lottery, he drew two lots in Lee County, GA. He was listed as a "R.S." Married Mary; date unknown. Served as a private in the NC Line.
