Notes:
From Interstate 185 north of Columbus, take Exit 25 and turn West on Rte. 103 for 6.3 mi. New Hope cemetery improved dirt road is on left. Drive 100 yards on this road and turn to dirt trail for 100 yards to cemetery where there is a government tombstone with the words Alston S. Massey, South Carolina, Private, Continental Army, Rev War. It was placed there in 1957 by the now-disbanded Button Gwinnett Chapter of the DAR of Columbus, GA.
The officers of the Coweeta Falls chapter were guided to the cemetery site by Joe Talley, Harris County resident, who had done an inventory of the graves therein.
