John Hays

John Hayes was born on November 2, 1751 in Virginia, enlisted in the Colonial Army in North Carolina and applied for a pension in 1833 in DeKalb County, Georgia. Patriot Hayes died on June 17, 1839 at age 87. He and his wife, Mary, who survived him by only two days, are buried here.
