Daniel Clower was born July 18, 1762, in Pennsylvania. He served in Captain James Mill’s Company, Colonel Archibald Lytle’s Regiment, and Colonel Henry Dixon’s Regiment of the North Carolina Line. He later received a pension for his services. He married Nancy Wilson in 1785. The family lived in Jackson County, Georgia, briefly; then in Tennessee a few years before returning to Gwinnett County, Georgia, in 1821. He died September 30, 1842.
