Patriot John H. Walker was born in Prince George County, Maryland, on December 25, 1762. He was living in Loudon County, Virginia, at the time of his enlistment into the Colonial forces. He served as a Private under Captain John Henry in Colonel Alexander’s Virginia Regiment. John H. Walker later transferred to Captain Call’s light infantry. The name of John H. Walker’s first wife is unknown. He married his second wife, Elizabeth Jones, in 1797. After her death he married his third wife Mariah Leverett. John H Walker died in Walton County, Georgia, June 19, 1836.
